I was homeless for about a year with 2 children under my care. Unfortunately things did not work out with their father and I was left in a position of having to care for them without childcare as well as being 8 months pregnant.
Eventually I found myself living in a home that was foreclosed on and I needed find a stable and safe place to raise my children. That is when I had heard of Grace Centers of Hope and contacted them.
I entered the 90 day emergency shelter when my youngest son only two weeks old. After 90 days in the emergency shelter, I made the choice to enter the one year life skills program and get my life back on track.
My life has been forever changed. I always knew the Lord and had faith in Him but Grace Centers of Hope taught me to stop trying to do things my way; to surrender completely.
I was able to forgive my children’s father and others who had done wrong by me and finally have peace.
I am three years into recovery and as a mother I have loved myself and for the first time we have a place that my children can call home. I am now married to the love of my life, a husband who understands my past struggles and continues to push me to see the best in myself. He is also an incredible father to my three children! None of this would be possible without Grace Centers of Hope. They changed my life and the lives of my children. We’re forever grateful.
