Five Loaves Two Fish

When the boy in the Gospel of John gave up his five loaves of bread and his two fish, he did not know what would happen. He did not know that the food that he gave freely, would feed over 5,000 people, yet Christ blessed that donation and turned his five loaves and two fish into enough food to feed all the followers and more. How blessed was that boy to be able to witness something he had given, turn into a miracle!

100 individuals and organizations giving $5000 EACH YEAR

Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 over the next two years in order to continue to change the lives of the unwanted, the hurting, and the lost men women, and children that found our doors.

As a team of 100 we can turn our 5 loaves of bread and our 2 fish into a miracle that will bless thousands

Being a part of 5 Loaves 2 Fish will establish more opportunities for Grace Centers of Hope to expand a proven program to more men, women, and children who are currently suffering. Further, 5L2F brings together like-minded individuals whose values are similar in philanthropy, not just giving out fish but being able to be a part of a program that teaches individuals and families how to fish for themselves.

It takes tremendous resources to keep the lights on, to staff the Women and Childrens Center; to staff the men’s mission, and the daycare. It takes a great deal of fundraising to buy toilet paper, fuel for transportation, and heat and air conditioning for the facilities. Very plainly it takes a village of supporters like you to keep Grace Centers of Hope afloat. The small things it takes for every person who enters our doors to receive support add up and, we would love to count on your support and financial partnership for 2 years; for you to Be A Part Of the necessary foundation of the mission and vision of Grace Centers of Hope.

partner with us today and be a part of the foundation that will transform thousands of lives!

In youth, families, and individuals, homelessness can be caused by a lack of education, poverty, domestic violence, trauma, addiction, and disasters. According to the Office of Policy and Development Research, in 2022 over 8,000 People were experiencing homelessness in Michigan.

According to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, 61,072 people in Michigan went to treatment for drug abuse. Alcohol and Heroin are the biggest aggravators and Methamphetamine is also becoming very prevalent. It’s reported that every single county in Michigan has someone struggling with Methamphetamine.

“Give a person a fish and he will eat for a day” but, truthfully give a person a fish and he will go hungry in a day. We understand compassion and the need to help people, but not temporarily. That will only cause that person to ask for fish again because that person doesn’t know a different way. At Grace Centers of Hope we believe in hand-ups not handouts. Coming alongside the individual and providing the tools needed to better their life will benefit that person and society in the long run.
