Are my donations tax-deductible?
What Items can I donate?
· Men’s, women’s, children’s, and infant clothing
· Bedspreads, quilts, tablecloths, rugs and carpet rolls
· Shoes, purses, and belts.
· Furniture: sofas, chairs, tables, dinettes, dining room furniture, bedroom furniture lamps. Please make sure furniture is not stained or broken.
· Large appliances: Clean & working order–stoves, refrigerators, washers and dryers.
· Small appliances: Clean & working order–radios, kitchen equipment.
· Video games that are not damaged and in working order
· Sporting equipment including bikes
· Records, CDs, videotapes and DVDs
· Household items of all kinds including dishes, glasses, vases, flower arrangements, wreaths, etc.
· Jewelry of all kinds
· Collectibles, including dolls
· Outdoor lawn/maintenance equipment in good working order
· Hand tools and small power tools
· Knickknacks, antiques and other collectibles
What Items do you not accept?
· Baby furniture–cribs, car seats, high chairs, swings, strollers.
· Books, except religious subject matter
· Building supplies unless brand new in the box
· China cabinets except with matching dining room sets
· Computers, printers, copiers
· Christmas decor except between September through February
· Desks
· Dishwashers
· Entertainment centers/wall units
· Hospital beds
· Pianos and organs,
· Ping Pong, Pool or Foosball tables
· Toys
· TVs (unless flat screen manufactured after 2009. No CRT TVs
Are there things I should consider when requesting a donation pickup?
· We only pick up if there are at least 10 bags/boxes of clothes/small household items or if the items are picked up with furniture. We have limited space on trucks and a large distance to cover.
· The drivers have the final say over what we take. Their decision is based on many factors including similar items already at the store.
Can I schedule a pick-up for large furniture donations?
Are there any special discounts or promotions at the thrift store?
Are there specific drop-off hours for donations?
Do you offer discounts for seniors or military personnel?
